Job Description
- Design and develop software, control systems, and hardware for automated machines and equipment.
- Design and develop die bonder equipment, including machine control logic, system integration, and performance optimisation.
- Develop and maintain machine control applications using Visual C++, Visual C#, and VB.NET.
- Perform application integration testing, validation, and prepare technical documentation.
- Analyse customer requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Provide software and hardware support to customers, including troubleshooting and evaluation of modification requests.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, ensuring system functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Define and follow software development processes and support hardware qualification activities.
- Plan and manage assigned technical tasks or projects to meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
- Prepare and maintain proper engineering documentation, SOPs, and technical guidelines.
- Provide extended technical support when required to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time, ensuring timely and full closure of all tasks.
Role Overview
We are seeking motivated and technically capable Software Control & Development Engineers at Engineer I, Engineer II, and Senior levels to support the design, development, and integration of software, control systems, and hardware for advanced automated and high-precision equipment, including die bonder machines.
Job Responsibilities
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or Science, preferably in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering, with Second Upper Class Honours or above.
- Development Engineer I: Fresh graduates are welcome; 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Development Engineer II: 1–2 years of relevant working experience in software, control systems, or automation engineering.
- Senior Development Engineer: 3–5 years of relevant working experience with proven hands-on contribution to complex systems or equipment development.
- Strong capability in software programming and electronics/electrical design.
- Proficient in Visual C++, Visual C#, and VB.NET.
- Experience in designing and developing die bonder equipment is required.
- Knowledge of semiconductor processes or IR technology is an added advantage.
