Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Student Counselor to guide students in selecting the right courses, exploring scholarship opportunities, and applying to colleges and universities in Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Ireland.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling services to students seeking admission to colleges and universities across various countries.
• Liaise with representatives from institutions to facilitate student counseling and admissions.
• Manage and follow up on all walk-ins, email inquiries, calls, and leads from recruitment activities promptly, ensuring a high conversion rate into applications and enrollments.
• Assist students with course applications, visa processing, accommodation arrangements, scholarships, and other post-application support to ensure a smooth transition.
• Support and participate in enrollment activities such as admission registration, scholarship search events, school visits, and other related initiatives.
• Stay updated on the tertiary education industry, institution offerings, and career or study pathways.
• Work towards achieving student engagement and enrollment targets, with commission incentives based on performance.
• Collaborate with the team to share insights and improve overall effectiveness.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

• Study abroad advising experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in English is required, with Mandarin being an added advantage.
• Comfortable with digital interactions, as most consultations are conducted online. Face-to-face meetings are minimal and happen only when necessary.
• Target-driven with a strong commitment to achieving enrollment goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively guide students and parents.
• Willing to work extended hours during peak periods, especially after exam results are released.
• Able to attend to priority student inquiries at night, as students are generally more active outside standard working hours.
• Open to working on weekends and traveling for on-ground roadshow events, which may require multiple consecutive travel days between January and March.
