Job Description

• Operate under minimal supervision to manage the technical and operational accounting tasks involved in month-end closing and consolidation processes, coordinating with accountants across multiple entities and clients.
• Apply in-depth accounting expertise to address complex financial issues and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
• Oversee the statutory reporting functions for global subsidiaries, collaborating with external auditors and service providers.
• Supervise the preparation and filing of corporate tax submissions, ensuring adherence to applicable tax legislation and timelines.
• Compile and deliver financial statements—including quarterly and annual reports—in alignment with US GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory standards.
• Lead and support audit activities, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely and compliant financial disclosures.
• Help develop, refine, and document accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare legally compliant statutory accounts for corporate clients.
• Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems and workflow processes for better accuracy and productivity.
• Conduct error analysis and propose corrective actions to optimize performance.
• Contribute to the enhancement of accounting frameworks and operational practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Holds a professional qualification such as ACCA or an equivalent chartered certification.
• Brings over 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in an auditing capacity.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis, and proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, and familiarity with US GAAP is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for managing both internal teams and external partners.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing precise, high-quality work.
• Highly analytical with a strong understanding of commercial dynamics.
• Well-organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
• Goal-oriented with a strong sense of accountability for meeting deadlines and deliverables.
• Malaysian citizenship required.
• Fluency in Mandarin is essential.
