Sales Engineer - Thailand (Precision Machinery)

Job Description

    The Sales Engineer is responsible for managing relationships with distributors and end-users, with a focus on expanding the customer base in Thailand. This role includes identifying new sales opportunities, providing technical support, and clearly communicating product value. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs, ensure successful product applications, and drive overall sales growth.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    🔹 Distributor & Customer Management

    • Support existing distributors to boost sales by expanding current accounts and finding new end-users
    • Identify and onboard new distributors to grow market coverage and uncover new business opportunities

    🔹 Technical Support & Training

    • Translate sales and technical materials into Thai for clear communication
    • Conduct product training sessions and provide hands-on technical support to distributors and customers

    🔹 Market Research & Planning

    • Analyze market trends and opportunities to support strategic growth
    • Work closely with R&D, Product, and Marketing teams to align product offerings with market needs

    🔹 Customer Engagement

    • Visit end-users regularly to assist with product trials, gather feedback, and troubleshoot technical issues
    • Maintain accurate forecasts of customer demand to support internal planning and inventory management

    Skills & Competencies

    • Sales-Driven & Proactive: Highly motivated with a strong drive for business development
    • Effective Communicator: Fluent in both Thai and English, with excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
    • Project Management: Able to manage timelines and tasks using tools like Asana
    • Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work across teams and build lasting customer relationships
    • Technical Fluency: Capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly in both languages

     

Job Requirements
    • Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Tool & Die, Welding, Mechatronics, or similar fields)
    • Experience:
      • At least 2 years in a manufacturing environment, managing distributors and key accounts
      • Prior experience in technical sales, especially in cutting tools or metalworking, is a strong advantage
    • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and technical products, with hands-on sales or support experience
