Operation Manager (Manufacturing)

Job Description

    Production Management

    • Plan, organize, and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards.
    • Monitor daily operations, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
    • Collaborate with production teams to resolve bottlenecks and maintain smooth workflow.
    • Enforce adherence to safety protocols and production compliance standards.
       

    Purchasing

    • Oversee the procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services to support production needs.
    • Build and sustain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
    • Manage purchasing budgets, track expenditures, and explore cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
    • Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
       

    Warehouse Management

    • Supervise warehouse operations, including inventory control, storage, and materials handling.
    • Implement effective inventory management systems to prevent shortages or overstocking.
    • Maintain a safe, well-organized warehouse environment compliant with health and safety regulations.
    • Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize workflows and improve overall efficiency.
       

    Logistics

    • Direct transportation and delivery operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-efficient distribution.
    • Negotiate with logistics providers to secure favorable terms and promptly resolve delivery issues.
    • Continuously optimize supply chain processes to shorten lead times and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Oversee shipping and receiving activities for accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
       

    Team Leadership & Coordination

    • Lead, guide, and motivate teams across production, purchasing, warehouse, and logistics functions.
    • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide training and development programs to strengthen team capabilities and performance.
    • Track departmental KPIs and implement action plans to achieve performance targets.
       

    Reporting & Analysis

    • Prepare and review operational reports covering production output, procurement costs, inventory levels, and delivery performance.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
    • Present insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in operations management, with specific experience overseeing production, purchasing, warehouse, and logistics functions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
    • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Relevant certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
