Job Description
- Provide consecutive interpretation between Khmer and English speakers via telephone or video calls, as required.
- Process and relay information efficiently, ensuring clear and concise communication.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Use industry-specific terminology and adhere to standard practices within relevant fields.
- Handle a wide range of calls, from simple to complex, covering both technical and non-technical topics.
- Interpret for various sectors, including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel & Hospitality, Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.
Job Requirements
- Native fluency in English and Khmer, with an advanced understanding of cultural dynamics, idiomatic expressions, and industry terminology (medical and other sectors).
- Minimum of a high school education, with a preferred background in languages, translation/interpretation, or healthcare-related fields.
- A verifiable medical interpreter certification is an added advantage.
- Hiring process involves written and audio language assessments.
- Ability to remain stationary and operate a computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse throughout the scheduled shift without significant difficulty or fatigue.
