Job Description
- Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for assigned business units, fostering strong relationships with managers and employees.
- Oversee Industrial Relations (IR) activities, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and investigations, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Provide expert guidance on employment legislation, HR policies, and best practices to both management and staff.
- Support employee engagement programs and act as a mediator to resolve workplace issues effectively.
- Prepare, review, and translate HR-related documents (such as policies, contracts, and notices) in both English and Japanese, as required.
- Partner with leadership teams to enhance organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent management strategies.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development) to deliver cohesive HR solutions.
- Analyze HR metrics and generate reports to provide insights for informed decision-making.
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, internal policies, and collective agreements.
Job Requirements
- Education: Diploma or higher qualification.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written) is essential.
- Experience: Prior experience or knowledge in Industrial Relations (IR) or HR operations is preferred.
- Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with local employment laws and regulations will be an added advantage.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
- Professionalism: Able to handle sensitive issues with discretion, integrity, and cultural sensitivity.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders effectively.
