Job Description

This 12-month program consists of a variety of meaningful assignments and projects including a 6-week internal function rotation. These assignments will provide exposure across different functions and various business operations with a focus on on-the-job training experience that is aimed at providing a holistic and inclusive approach towards building a strong foundation for the graduate within Alfa Laval.

At the completion of this program, we aspire to convert successful graduates into permanent functional roles in the home country – Malaysia (Shah Alam) and thereafter continuing their journey within Alfa Laval.

As a IT Graduate Trainee, you will be involved in various aspects, including but not limited to:

  • Providing support for ERP applications, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance system functionality.
  • Assisting end-users with technical inquiries, resolving IT-related issues, and providing training and guidance on system usage.
  • Collaborating with the IT team to analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and generate insights to support business decision-making.
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of database systems, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Assisting with networking and infrastructure tasks, such as configuring hardware, setting up network connections, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Exploring and gaining exposure to application programming, assisting in the development and customization of software solutions to meet business requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in IT, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with less than 1 year of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong willingness and ability to learn.
  • A positive attitude and a growth mindset, as well as flexibility and creativity.
  • Highly self-motivated team player with good analytical skills, creative thinking and results-driven.
  • Ability to multi-task and good in problem solving.
