Job Description

This 12-month program consists of a variety of meaningful assignments and projects including a 6-week internal function rotation. These assignments will provide exposure across different functions and various business operations with a focus on on-the-job training experience that is aimed at providing a holistic and inclusive approach towards building a strong foundation for the graduate within Alfa Laval.

At the completion of this program, we aspire to convert successful graduates into permanent functional roles in the home country – Malaysia (Shah Alam) and thereafter continuing their journey within Alfa Laval.

As a Finance Graduate Trainee, you will be involved in various aspects of financial analysis and reporting, including but not limited to:

  • Backlog Follow-up and Analysis: Track and follow up on backlog against inventory goods receipt notes (GRNs), conducting analysis on inventory and work-in-progress (WIP) ageing to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Customer Credit Evaluation and DSO Analysis: Evaluate customer creditworthiness and conduct analysis on Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) to manage credit risk and optimize cash flow.
  • Financial Analysis on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Inventory Ageing: Perform financial analysis on selected KPIs to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Analyze inventory ageing to optimize inventory management and minimize carrying costs.
  • Findings and Improvement Recommendations: Present findings from financial analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Reporting and Dashboard Preparation: Build reports from various databases to track financial performance and provide insights to key stakeholders. Prepare dashboards to visualize financial data and facilitate decision-making.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with less than 1 year of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong willingness and ability to learn.
  • A positive attitude and a growth mindset, as well as flexibility and creativity.
  • Highly self-motivated team player with good analytical skills, creative thinking and results-driven.
  • Ability to multi-task and good in problem solving.
