Job Description

• Oversee month-end activities to ensure timely closure and precise financial reporting.
• Generate consolidated Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Prepare monthly cash flow summaries and financial forecasts.
• Collaborate with team members to compile management accounts and budget projections.
• Monitor and maintain intercompany balances and control accounts.
• Draft annual statutory financial statements for the organization and its subsidiaries.
• Coordinate and support year-end audit processes, liaising with external auditors.
• Supervise or prepare monthly payroll activities.
• Review and validate reports submitted by junior finance staff.
• Provide support on various ad hoc financial tasks and special projects as needed.
• Step in as backup support for finance team members during their absence.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, manage daily workloads, resolve issues, and support skill development and training.

Job Requirements

• Proven work experience (at least 4 years) in accounting/ finance function or audit, startup experience is a plus
• Good attention to detail
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and basic accounting knowledge
• Competency in MS Office and Xero accounting software a plus
• SST knowledge a plus
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Good organizational and time-management abilities
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or has completed a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
