Finance Manager (Shared Service)

Job Description

    Leadership & Team Management

    • Lead, mentor, and support a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance on complex issues and ensuring strong performance.
    • Assign tasks, set clear performance goals, and conduct regular reviews.
    • Build a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

    Financial Operations Management

    • Oversee daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting within the Shared Services Center (SSC).
    • Ensure accurate, timely processing of financial transactions and preparation of financial statements.
    • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with full data accuracy.

    Process Improvement & Optimization

    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices across the SSC.
    • Lead automation efforts and initiatives to enhance efficiency and minimize errors.
    • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

    Financial Reporting & Analysis

    • Prepare and review financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and fulfill all audit requirements.

    Strategic Planning & Budgeting

    • Assist in developing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
    • Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions when needed.
    • Partner with senior management on financial strategy and planning.

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
    • Oversee internal controls to manage financial risks effectively.
    • Manage relationships with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

    Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

    • Work closely with other SSC teams (HR, Procurement, IT) to integrate and streamline accounting processes.
    • Communicate with business units and regional teams to resolve accounting matters and align on SSC goals.
    • Represent the accounting function in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
    • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar leadership role, preferably within a Shared Services Center environment.
    • Strong knowledge of SSC operations, multi-entity accounting, and financial reporting.
    • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and accounting software.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Solid technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP or IFRS standards.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
