Job Description
- Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting processes.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insightful commentary on performance against targets.
- Conduct financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial services regulations.
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Develop and implement internal financial controls and procedures.
- Provide financial support and guidance to other departments.
- Participate in strategic projects and initiatives, providing financial input and analysis.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a finance role, with significant experience within the financial services industry (e.g., banking, investment, insurance, fintech).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or MFRS) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent financial planning and analysis skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., advanced Excel skills, financial planning software).
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements within the Malaysian financial services sector.
