Job Description

Our client is looking to hire a Fashion Designer that is capable to plan, observe, understand and analyze from the latest trend through various sources, and to combine your research with Parisian DNA for product development. With expertise in design, conceptualization, and market analysis, you will work closely with your teammates, sale & marketing team, principal and suppliers to create fashionable clothing lines that align with the business strategies and brand direction. Our ideal candidates are to have outstanding business acumen and are creative.

• Compile and review previous season sell through report. 
• Conduct market research through various platforms (social media, market street, fashion leaders & influencers, provided trend file by principal and trend forecast report (WGSN)) to identify latest trends, fabrics, techniques and design inspiration. 
• Plan and develop a new story and mood board with fabric swatches for new collection based on research data and season. 
• Ensure product is aligned with business strategy and brand direction. 
• Present story, mood and color boards to your team leader for approval. 
• Create production sketches and required documents, and work closely with suppliers and your fellow teammates for product development. 
• Review and compile comments on product samples for style and fit with sale and marketing team. 
• Prepare approval form for principal and team leader. 
• Negotiate product cost with suppliers and compilation for management approval. 
• Prepare documents as per required for purchase order. 
• Monitor and ensure on timely deliveries for all products according to the given timeline. 
• Prepare summary report of purchases for each collection. 
• Quality Control (QC) arrangement upon stock’s shipment arrival and follow up procedure once completed.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in relevant field 
• Education: Minimum of Diploma in Fashion Design or relevant field 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Chinese and English)
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator 
• Availability to travel for research and product development 
• Ability to do sketches by hand or by software 
• Excellent observation, analytic, design and conceptual skills 
• Excellent sense of style and colour 
• Ability to meet deadlines
