Job Description

1.       Design, prepare and evaluate all the technical specifications for electrical engineering documents such as total load calculation, fault current calculation, protection system calculation, luminance calculation, cable sizing schedule and etc.

2.       Prepare & review documents which are related to electrical equipment, lighting layout plan, power layout plan, data layout plan, lighting single line diagram, smoke detector layout plan, emergency light layout plan and main schematic diagram, etc.

3.       Prepare all inspection form related to projects such as insulation test form, site acceptance form, etc as and when required.

4.       Monitor, conduct and supervise work at site until completion for the project.

5.       Liaise and coordinate with main contractor, consultant, client, etc to ensure project works smoothly.

6.       Prepare and review documents related to electrical and instrument equipment such as technical data sheet, single line diagram, general arrangement drawing, typical installation details, layout drawing, bill of materials, schematic diagram and block diagram, etc.

7.       Advise and prepare documents which include the technical data, technical specifications, drawings, BQ to procurement department and suppliers.

8.       Preparation and submission of equipment/material to client/consultant for approval.

9.       Tracking, monitoring, updating and reporting of submission and approval status.

10.    Communicate with suppliers, vendors and manufactures if there any ambiguity or insufficient specification and documents.

11.    Advise and write in technical query to client if there are any contradiction / discrepancies between tender drawing, construction drawing, BQ specification, technical schedule.

12.    Monitor work progress at site as per work schedule and report to Project Manager.

13.    Liaise and coordinate with sub-contractors and/or vendor before and during installation, testing and commissioning.

14.    Perform testing and commissioning:

-       Ensure the manpower and calibrated equipment are available.

-       Ensure that all vendors supply materials / parts, conforms to quality and specified requirement.

-       Liaise, coordinate an attend meeting with vendors and client.

-       Provide reports to Project Manager on progress and any problem arises.

-       To ensure that all the tests are performed in accordance with approved procedures and measure safety.

-       Ensure that all documents and drawings are updated for final as-built revision.

-     Ensure that all required documentation and information are signed off and handed over to client and attend all services requested by clients.

15.    Prepare and review equipment data sheets, specification and requisitions.

 

16.    Perform vendor offer review technical bid evaluation, carry out vendor drawing / documents review and vendor data incorporation.

17.    Witness Factory Acceptance Test as required.

18.    Assisted in construction, hook up and commissioning.

19.    Perform electrical engineering activities and review activities.

20.    Member of electrical design team work on offshore feasibilities, conceptual, basic engineering, front end engineering design for Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Management Project.

21.    Perform procurement activities such as Request For quotation, Purchase Order, Delivery Order and Invoice Documents.

22.    Any other duties / tasks assigned at other project site from time to time.

Job Requirements

2 to 3 years experienced in Mechanical and Electrical Industry
