Role Overview

We are seeking a Development Engineer to design, develop, and implement machine vision and inspection systems for high-precision equipment. This role involves configuring vision hardware, developing vision software, evaluating new technologies, and translating customer requirements into reliable technical solutions. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to validate system performance, support production and customer issues, and deliver robust, well-documented vision solutions, ideally within a semiconductor or high-precision automation environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Vision System Development:

• Design vision software and configure hardware components (optics, cameras, lenses, lighting)
• Research vision technology solutions and manage hardware/software procurement

• Design and develop vision inspection

   

Project Execution:

• Develop project timelines and contribute to R&D initiatives

• Conduct visual evaluations of customer samples and requirements

   

Technical Translation & Support:

• Convert customer specifications into technical designs, ensuring feasibility and exceeding expectations
• Validate vision hardware/software performance and generate acceptance reports

• Troubleshoot vision-related equipment issues for production teams and clients

   

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop optimal machine solutions
• Maintain engineering documentation (DCNs, SOPs, user manuals, guidelines)
• Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring timely completion

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Optics/Photonics, or related STEM fields
• 4+ years of computer vision experience with proficiency in at least one vision library (VisionPro, Halcon, OpenCV, or Euresys)
• Advanced skills in Visual Studio development using C#/C++
• Functional English reading/writing proficiency
• Semiconductor industry experience preferred
• Proactive learner embracing new technical challenges
• Collaborative team player with strong independent problem-solving abilities
• Excellent technical aptitude with analytical and troubleshooting skills
