Credit Risk Control Manager (Financial Services)

Job Description
    • Assess the creditworthiness of SME working capital and personal loan applicants through in-depth financial analysis.
    • Evaluate repayment capacity to ensure loan approvals align with the company’s risk appetite.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain credit policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Continuously review and refine credit risk frameworks to adapt to market conditions.
    • Monitor loan portfolios to identify risk concentrations and ensure proper risk diversification.
    • Ensure adherence to Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
    • Implement robust fraud detection mechanisms for SME and personal loan applications.
    • Collaborate with sales, operations, and legal teams to align credit risk strategies with business objectives.
    • Provide training and mentorship to relationship managers and credit analysts on credit risk best practices.
    • Prepare regular credit risk reports for senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and recommendations.
    • Utilize data analytics tools to enhance credit decision-making and improve credit scoring models.
Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are an advantage.
    • 7–10 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in SME lending or personal loans.
    • Proven expertise in developing and implementing credit risk strategies.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
    • Deep understanding of MAS regulations and credit risk frameworks in Singapore.
    • Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling high-pressure situations.
    • Adaptability to evolving market and regulatory landscapes.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
