Job Description
- Research and identify suitable vehicles based on clients' requirements (e.g., make, model, year, condition).
- Source cars from auctions, dealerships, and private sellers within Japan.
- Negotiate prices with dealers, auction houses, and private sellers to secure the best deals for the client.
- Handle auction bidding on behalf of clients to secure desired vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical soundness and overall condition, ensuring they meet the client’s standards.
- Use diagnostic tools and visual inspection to assess the quality and value of vehicles.
- Handle all necessary paperwork for the export of vehicles, including export licenses, customs documentation, and shipping arrangements.
- Work with shipping companies to ensure the safe transport of vehicles to the client’s destination.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, keeping them updated on vehicle availability, pricing, and shipping progress.
- Provide detailed reports on the condition and status of vehicles.
- Stay informed on trends in the Japanese automotive market to provide accurate advice to clients.
- Monitor changes in regulations affecting vehicle exports and international trade.
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of cars, including various makes, models, and their market value.
- Strong negotiation skills to ensure the best price for clients and solid deals with vendors.
- Experience in sales or procurement, particularly in the automotive industry
- Familiarity with Japanese vehicle export regulations, customs processes, and international trade laws.
- Knowledge of vehicle import regulations in target countries.
- Ability to manage client expectations and provide high-quality service.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and perform vehicle inspections.
- Proficiency with car auction software platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Meticulous in handling paperwork and ensuring accuracy in shipping and export documentation.
- Strong time management skills for coordinating purchases and exports in a timely manner.
