Back End Developer Intern

We are looking for a back-end developer intern who will drive the transformation of business ideas into outstanding digital products that engage users. You will work within a team responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Reporting to the Senior Back End Developer, your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high-performance requests from the back-end.

• Create and write clean code to develop web applications focused on functionality
• Develop new and ongoing web software projects
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Collaborate with the front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Perform tests to optimize performance
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions
• Understand client requirements and how they translate into application features
• Coordinating with the Chief Technical Officer, front-end developers, and designers to identify new features
• Write detailed documentation
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies

• Has a good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concept.
• Excellent knowledge of PHP. Additional languages are a bonus.
• Working knowledge of Laravel framework
• Working knowledge of MYSQL Database
• Basic understanding of front-end languages (eg. HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
• Familiar with source version control and packages (Git, NPM, Webpack, Gulp, etc)
• Familiar with the terminal command
• Excellent understanding of the entire web development process and life cycle

Good to have:

• Experience with Lifewire, REST API
• Experience with Javascript such as Node.js, Angular, React, or Vue
• Experience in Digital Cloud-Native Architecture (AWS or other providers)
