Our client started in 1847 as a blacksmith in Nijkerk. Now, years later, our client has more than 200 employees and the multinational company is based in Coevorden where half of all their employees work with passion on the machines. 

Job Description

Sales

  • Signaling market opportunities in the field of commercial activities.
  • Making sales plans: visit frequency, number of new customers and agents, sales growth and margin development, choice of use of sales support tools.
  • Visits from potential customers and maintain relationships with both existing customers, key accounts as well as prospects.
  • Advising customers on financing and payment options.
  • Advising customers in collaboration with Sales Engineer on technical solutions.
  • Requests for quotations and layouts from Sales Engineers and check, process and follow up.
  • Monitoring sales prices and margins.
  • Discussing quotes with customers and negotiating prices and margins.
  • Supervising the transfer of assignments to executive departments.
  • Identify the customer's desired product developments and discuss them with the CCO.
  • Handling warranty claims and, if necessary, enabling Sales Engineer to be assessed in the technical or technical case of customer technical questions.
  • Act as a point of contact within the company for customers in their own region.
  • Solving commercial problems after delivery.

Reporting

  • Create visit reports and sales reports.
  • Maintaining sales records and customer data in the automated system.

Organization

  • Ensure the marketing of new products in consultation with CCO.
  • Contributing to the development of product information.
  • Acquiring knowledge of new markets and (competitive) developments in products and processes.
  • Short- and medium-term forecasts for the CCO.

Opinion

  • Making proposals for the development of commercial policy.
  • Advise CCO on the sales budget for the assigned region.
  • Proposals of product improvements and ideas for products to be developed.
  • Advising CCO on awarding/rejecting claims and complaints.
  • Making price comparisons to determine the level of competition of its own products and advising the CCO on price corrections.

Communication

  • Discuss the progress of the work with CCO.
  • Consult on order specifications and delivery conditions with colleagues from other departments so that correct delivery times are matched
  • Obtaining information and discussing offers with (international) customers (Bahasa/English).
  • Negotiate prices and margins with customers (Bahasa/English).
  • Exchange of information with potential (international) customers (Bahasa/English).

Powers

  • Researching market developments, both customer-, product- and price-related.
  • Acquiring new customers and maintaining relationships.
  • Negotiate prices from offer to agreed amount, then consult with CCO.
  • Bids have been issued and follow-up to order confirmation has been received.
  • Independent visits of customers.

Responsibility

  •   Achieving the predetermined sales budget in the assigned region.
  •   Giving correct advice and making correct reports.
  •   Drawing up clear quotations and orders with all the necessary data.
  •   Proposals of product improvements and ideas for products to be developed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales, with at least 5 years of dedicated experience.
  • Strong sales track record with a history of consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and negotiate effectively.
  • Proficient in English, Bahasa Melayu and Chinese is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales principles and techniques.
  • Availability to travel as required for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
