Account Payable Team Lead - Mandarin Speaker ( Shared Service)

Job Description

    Team lead is a key leadership role within a shared services or BPO environment, responsible for overseeing Accounts Payable (AP) and Employee Reimbursements (ER) operations. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, leading a high-performing team, and managing stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
     

    1. Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of finance professionals.
    • Manage performance, conduct regular reviews, and support career growth.
    • Build a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team culture.

    2. Operational Oversight

    • Supervise daily AP and ER processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls and company policies.
    • Oversee workload management, resource allocation, and capacity planning.

    3. Process Improvement & Performance Management

    • Identify and implement process enhancements for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as SLA adherence, accuracy, and turnaround time.
    • Leverage data insights for continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

    4. Issue Resolution & Risk Management

    • Proactively manage operational issues and escalations.
    • Assess risks and implement controls to ensure financial and compliance integrity.
    • Support internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness.

    5. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

    • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders across different regions and time zones.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external partners.
    • Translate business requirements into effective operational solutions with a customer-centric mindset.
Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience in BPO, shared services, or finance operations (preferably in AP & ER)
    • Proven experience leading large teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
    • Fluent in Mandarin (required) and English, both spoken and written.
    • Good understanding of finance processes in BPO or shared services.
    • Able to manage KPIs, monitor quality, and meet SLA targets.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
    • Confident in working with stakeholders and communicating across cultures.
    • Comfortable working with global teams and in different time zones.
    • Proactive, detail-oriented, and focused on achieving results.
