Job Description

• Analyze and summarize sell-through performance from previous seasons.
• Conduct trend research using social platforms, street style observations, industry influencers, trend reports (WGSN), and principal-provided insights to gather design inspiration, explore materials, techniques, and emerging styles.
• Develop a creative direction for each new collection, crafting stories and visual mood boards informed by seasonal and market research.
• Ensure all product concepts align with brand identity and overarching business objectives.
• Present conceptual narratives, mood boards, and color palettes to team leadership for feedback and sign-off.
• Produce detailed production-ready sketches and documentation, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams on sample creation and product development.
• Evaluate and compile feedback on product samples with the sales team to refine fit and design.
• Prepare official product approval forms for sign-off by principal and internal leadership.
• Engage in cost negotiations with vendors and compile pricing proposals for final management approval.
• Complete necessary documentation to facilitate purchase orders.
• Track product development timelines and ensure all deliveries are on schedule.
• Generate comprehensive purchase summaries for each collection cycle.
• Coordinate quality control processes upon stock arrival and manage post-QC follow-ups.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of a diploma in fashion design or a related field.
• Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English, both spoken and written.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
• Willingness and ability to travel for sourcing and development purposes.
• Competent in freehand sketching or digital design tools.
• Strong attention to detail, trend awareness, and creative ideation.
• Well-developed aesthetic judgment, particularly in styling and color pairing.
• Capable of managing multiple deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure.
